CURTIS O. WILLIAMS

Curtis Williams is the Founder and CEO of Dunamis Partners.

He started investing in equities and real estate at a young age. In 2009, while in Business school, Mr. Williams raised an opportunistic real estate fund to purchase distressed real estate in the U.S. He managed the fund, successfully invested it, exited investments and created impressive value for partners. As the global recession was ending and at a time when many western investors avoided the economics of the African continent, Mr. Williams took a trip to various African countries to investigate business opportunities on the continent. The results were investments in high growth areas that reflected increasing demand for food, housing and consumer products. As a strong operator and risk manager, he believes in organic growth, operational improvements, and acquisitions that create a better company. Some of the firm's partners include prominent family offices and high net worth individuals.

Prior to forming Dunamis Partners, he was most recently the Director of Alternative Investments for an investment firm where he managed the due diligence, origination, portfolio construction, and monitoring of billions of dollars in alternative investments including private equity, hedge fund, timber, commodity/managed futures, infrastructure, oil & gas, and real estate investments for large pension funds, endowments, foundations and institutional investors.

He serves as a Board Member at the Financial Advisory Board of the City of Naperville. The Financial Advisory Board of the City of Naperville (>$500M budget) is responsible for reviewing and providing recommendations on fiscal policies, financial reports, and budgets to the City Council. He is a Finance Program Advisory Board Member at Penn State Behrend Black School of Business. He is also a member of premier Angel Investing groups where he makes investments in pre-seed and seed stage start-up and technology companies in the United States.

He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, a MS in Finance from Robert Morris University, a MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charter Holder.

He is currently a director of three companies on both continents. Curtis enjoys mentoring, soccer, tennis, ping pong and an occasional round of golf.
